I hear a thousand voices
in one familiar voice
If there's a collection
of human archives,
it indeed is our voice
we speak of the unspoken
or of spoken pasts
that has become a cliche
Intonations and pitches
make us discover people
and invent their emotions
sometimes in the art of imitation
sometimes in unknown deliberation
Your voice could remind
somebody of Dashrath's promise
It could imitate Shakuntala's pain
Your voice can certainly
become some musician's delight
It could raise thunderstorms
or it could burn everything
with the permutation and
combination of certain notes
You never know
what it could have done
what it has actually done
You delve in your own ears
when you should actually
delve into somebody's voice!
~Nishpriha
I have plucked your voice
and put them on my ears
just like a pair of earrings~Gulzar
you hear that voice..
ReplyDeletethe mind dissents
while heart consents.
it was there that moment
then gone
like the wisps
of the morning dream
waiting for it
you ponder
whether,it will recur
reflecting, you drift
to a repose
silently,the voice quivers
apprehensive,to wake you up
stealthily,slips in your ears
tells you a secret
never told before...
amazing!
ReplyDeleteif it was amazing
ReplyDeleteyours was magical
if gulzar was the overture
you were the crescendo
while,i,merely the encore..
Ha ha, you are Vikramized! :D
ReplyDeleteand so are you..
ReplyDeletebut i am reading love in time of cholera, so maybe it's marquez's magic..
I haven't done that yet. But I have seen the movie and liked it a lot. Also, I liked one hundred years of solitude, I guess this must be great too!
ReplyDeleteone hundred is the magnum opus of marquez, that is the reason i am reading this one.I think seeing the movie beforehand spoils the literary experience..isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWell, you know those were the days I was so lazy that I preferred movies. But later, what you said came as a realization and I have been picking up books first and then the movie.
ReplyDeletesee how we have floated from nishpriha to gulzar, then vikram and finally to marquez..
